Starting Point

My first post. These are never easy, especially with the thought 'This will never get any followers' floating around in my head. But it's not really the followers that matter, is it? It's what's put out there to follow.

And so I'm putting myself out there. My thoughts, my experiences, my stories. It's all for the world to see.

I use an alias, of course, like most everybody here. I use the name Olhado Hesse - or, as it should be written, Lauro 'Olhado' von Hesse, for the character I named myself for. He had a mechanical eye. He could see memories whenever he wanted to. So I hope to act as a pair of forever-seeing eyes for you - show you what I've seen, in perfect detail. Not all of it is good, but there is some light in the bad, too.

I've read the blogs by Fang of the Maximum Ride series. Maybe that's what my blog will be like - an ongoing record of events that make up my life. I'm not running from Erasers, though. I'm not trying to destroy an evil company called Itex. I'm running from something much worse:

My past.

You've all seen the movies, perhaps read the comic books. Wolverine of the X-Men wants to find his past. I want to forget mine.

So help me escape it. Help me forget that I was born.
